GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas has charged that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas was forming an emergency cell with the purpose of finding out the location of Hamas leaders in Gaza and relaying the information to the Israeli occupation forces.
Fawzi Barhoum, the Movement's spokesman, said in a statement on Tuesday that Abbas's call on all Palestinian factions for talks at this particular time was "too late" and was only distracting the attention away from IOF crimes in the Strip.
He said that in view of such a call, which attempts to prove Abbas's patriotism, Hamas is forced to reveal a number of issues topped by the formation of this emergency cell.
He explained that members of the cell are asked to contact Fatah elements in Gaza to collect whatever information is available on Hamas's secret locations and places of leaders then sending the information to the IOF through security coordination.
Barhoum further disclosed that a number of retired Fatah officers sent a message to Abbas asking permission to share in defending Gaza but Abbas ignored the faxed message and did not respond to it.
The spokesman stressed that the Palestinian people that paid a lot for its steadfastness would never think of capitulation because it would liquidate its cause and surrender rights and constants.
"War was imposed on us and we did not choose it, thus we have a right to defend our people," he elaborated.
